“Thank you,” I whisper.

“For what?”

“For everything you’re doing. For being here when I know you don’t want to be. For saying that you’re going to be by my side. This isn’t something that I’m used to. The only person who has been there for me is Izzy. Everyone else in my life just wants to use me for what I can do for them.”

“I can tell you that we want you for you. We’ll always support you.”

I move my head back, so that I can look Verkor in his eyes.
